Overview
We are the Medtronic VSP Retiree Group Minnesota (VSP), working on projects and activities that contribute to our communities and give us a pleasant feeling of satisfaction.
The VSP leadership is committed to developing and presenting to members a variety of volunteer, educational, social, communication and benefit opportunities. It is a forum for retirees, especially in Minnesota, to stay in touch with each other and the company. Our tag line is: Learning - Connecting - Serving. We strive to adhere to the following Mission Statement.
Mission Statement of the Medtronic VSP Retiree Group Minnesota:
· To offer Medtronic retirees quality activities
· To encourage retirees to actively contribute in their communities
· To help retirees stay in touch with each other and Medtronic
· To build and maintain an effective organization
· To conduct all activities consistent with the Medtronic Mission Statement
The VSP is affiliated with Medtronic through the Medtronic Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity and Engagement (GIDE) and its Employee Resource Group (ERG) organization. In addition, our “Mission in Motion” volunteer activities are encouraged by the Medtronic Community Affairs organization.
Membership
The Medtronic VSP Retiree Group is open retirees and alumni who have been employed by Medtronic or a subsidiary. There are no membership dues. A member must:
1. Have all behaviors compatible with the VSP Group and Medtronic, Inc., business practices and mission statements
2. Provide email address and other retiree information
If you qualify, we invite you to JOIN the VSP Group. By providing a personal email address and other retiree information, Medtronic retirees are automatically members, until they "unsubscribe" or can't be located.
Events and Benefits
All Medtronic VSP Members are entitled to Benefits and attend typical Events as listed in the BENEFITS page. Significant Others are invited to most VSP Events.

Leadership
The VSP Board serves as a volunteer executive board as well as activity coordinators. The Board meets periodically and regularly communicates with the membership. The Board abides by our Bylaws on file with GIDE and strives to comply with the Medtronic GIDE organization requirements
Election is by consensus and any VSP member is welcome to volunteer for current or potential leadership and support positions. Go to CONTACT US with any comments and suggestions. The Board members are:
